Breast Ultrasound Examination — Both Breasts

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Hong Kong. Early detection may allow for earlier medical follow-up and more treatment options.
A breast ultrasound examination uses high-resolution imaging technology to assess breast structures. It is generally painless, non-invasive and does not involve radiation.
Breast ultrasound may help assess or identify possible breast-related abnormalities, including:
 
 
Breast lumps or nodules
 
 
Suspicious breast lesions requiring further assessment
 
 
Breast hyperplasia
 
 
Breast cysts
 
 
Fibroadenomas and other benign breast conditions

If any abnormal findings are detected, further imaging, specialist assessment or biopsy may be recommended by a doctor where appropriate.
