NIFTY Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing is a safe, simple and highly accurate non-invasive prenatal screening test. It can be performed from 10 weeks of pregnancy onwards to assess the risk of foetal chromosomal abnormalities.

NIFTY non-invasive prenatal screening provides expectant parents with broader information about the baby’s chromosomal health. The International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis (ISPD) supports the use of NIPT technology for foetal chromosomal screening, whilst the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) recommends NIPT as an alternative to traditional Down syndrome screening for foetal chromosomal assessment.

This screening may be suitable for:

Pregnant women at 10 weeks of pregnancy or above

Pregnant women concerned about the risk of miscarriage from invasive testing

Pregnant women with a high-risk result from Down syndrome screening

Individuals with a family or personal history of chromosomal abnormalities

Pregnant women who conceived through IVF or have had recurrent miscarriages

Pregnant women who conceived through assisted reproductive technology, including egg donors or recipients
