Resting Electrocardiogram — ECG
A simple, non-invasive basic routine examination.
Service Description
Book an appointment for a resting electrocardiogram, also known as a resting ECG. A resting ECG is a simple, non-invasive and painless test that records the electrical activity of the heart while you are at rest. Small electrode patches are placed on the chest, arms and legs to help assess the heart rhythm and detect possible abnormalities such as irregular heartbeat, conduction problems or signs that may require further medical assessment. This test may be suitable for individuals who experience chest discomfort, palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, unexplained fatigue, irregular heartbeat, or those with risk factors such as high blood pressure, family history of heart disease, obesity or unhealthy lifestyle habits. Please avoid applying body lotion, antiperspirant or talcum powder to the upper body on the day of the test.
